The Six Rules of Inner Engineering
A reminder for the hours when life feels heavy. Read one line. Sit with it. Then go back to your hour.
1. All Rules Are My Rules
The world does not bend to you — but your inner experience is entirely your own creation. You can't always choose what happens around you, but you can always choose how you experience it. There's a small gap before a hurt lands — a choice to let it in, or see it as a reflection of the other person. Life may hand you success or failure; it cannot touch your inner balance.
2. This Moment Is All There Is
Like a wave that rises, catches light, breaks, and is gone — only this moment is alive. Most people live behind a blindfold woven from memory, fear, and conditioning. Remove it, even briefly, and everything sharpens. Miss this moment, and you've missed life.
3. Your Ability to Respond Is Limitless
You may not control what happens to you, but your inner response is boundless. Someone's action is limited — your response is infinite. React, and the world decides who you are. Respond, and you decide who you are.
4. Be a Mother to the World
A mother doesn't love her child for being flawless — it's simply her nature. You may not fix everything or help everyone, but the quality of your heart can stay constant regardless.
5. I Am Not the Body. I Am Not Even the Mind.
Watch your thoughts arrive — memories, fears, plans. If that were truly you, you couldn't be watching it. The thought is an object; you are the one noticing. Praise lifts, insult stings — but the body feels neither, only the mind reacts. See the mind as a tool, not the one in charge.

6. Observe Sensation — The Entry Point
Everything arrives through sensation — sight, sound, touch, emotion, thought. Watching sensation without judgment reveals how life is actually functioning inside you. Heartbeat, breath, warmth, tension, release — this is the life process happening within.

The Vow
I commit to this sadhana — not as a routine, but as a return, again and again, to what is underneath the noise. The breath is not the goal; it is the doorway I keep walking back through, until the room on the other side becomes familiar. Twenty times a day, let me be interrupted by truth. For one year, let the body sit still so something quieter can move — not to escape this life, but to finally arrive inside it.
Beyond One Transaction

When we become emotionally attached, we start dividing life into "mine" and "not mine," "I like this" and "I don't like that."

We become absorbed in one person, one event, or one transaction — while trillions of transactions are happening around us every moment.

Why limit our heart to one?

Life is not one transaction.
Life is the entire flow.

When we stop clinging to the specific and open ourselves to the whole, love becomes inclusive — not selective.

Don't love one part of existence.
Experience the whole of it.
Let your heart include everything.
